Our Team

Donald L Jones, CPA
Owner

Practice Administration

Donald Jones provides assistance in medical group formation, consults on operational and financial procedures, personnel management, group governance, coordination of practice growth or retraction, and the negotiation and execution of managed care contracts.

With experience gained in the public accounting field, Donald also provides service in financial statement compilations, tax return preparation and compliance, and guidance in operations management, whether it is on an individual or corporate basis.

Other services performed by Donald include the consultation on independent contractor agreement design, and the administration and non-discrimination compliance of employee benefit plans.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in accountancy from Valparaiso University and is a licensed CPA in the state of Illinois.

Michael Hogarty
Owner

Director of Managed Care Services

Michael Hogarty is responsible for the managed care contracting and operations for individual practitioners, corporate medical groups, independent practice associations, as well as major medical centers.

Michael is experienced in a variety of health administrative fields, including regional and national regulatory agencies, as well as practice management duties.

Michael also has experience in major payor contracting and the servicing of subcontracted specialty providers. He has also provided managed care expertise and practice management counseling to physicians and medical students.

Michael has been with the organization since 2001.

Christine Leonard
Owner

Director of Payroll and Disbursement Services

Chris Leonard serves as Director of the Payroll and Disbursements department. She is responsible for the oversight of payroll processing and the maintenance of classified payroll data. She supervises the activities of the payroll department in order to ensure the accuracy of payroll related data and compliance with regulatory agency requirements and guidelines.

Chris is also responsible for managing the firms Information Technology services. She provides IT solutions, implementing technology to match our client's business needs. Keeping current with today's technology allows Merus to offer clients the best possible service.

Chris has been with the organization since 1999.

Naomi Wisneski
Owner

Human Resource Director

Naomi Wisneski's concentration is in the Human Resources-Employee Benefits area. Naomi is the acting plan administrator for each insurance product that the groups offer to their employees: health, life, disability, malpractice and workers compensation. Naomi is responsible for maintaining all necessary corporate legal documents including the development of employee contracts and employee benefit policies.

Naomi is responsible for processing the paperwork for all new hires, maintaining updated documents on current employees including credentialing documentation and assisting employees with any situation that may arise.

Naomi has been with the organization since 1997.

Hongwei Tang, CPA

Director of Accounting & Taxation Services

Hongwei Tang has several years of public accounting experience in professional services (doctors, engineers and lawyers), investment services and real estate, specializing in tax planning and business consulting.

Hongwei is well versed in accounting and attest work as well as income tax compliance. This knowledge allows her to support client needs as they pertain to income tax projections and planning. She possesses significant tax expertise, with an emphasis on partnership taxation, Section 1031 Exchanges and tax and estate planning for high net worth individuals.

She holds a Masters of Science in accountancy from Northern Illinois University and is a licensed CPA in the state of Illinois.
